Stock availability changes regularly, and we do our best to keep popular products on the shelves. If something you're after is currently out of stock, get in touch with us by phone or email and we'll let you know when we expect it back. In some cases, we may be able to suggest an alternative product that suits your needs.

What is hydroponics, and why should I try it?

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil, using a nutrient-rich water solution instead. Plants are supported by an inert medium like coco coir, which gives you precise control over nutrients and growing conditions. Hydroponic systems use up to 90% less water than traditional soil gardening and can grow plants 30 to 50% faster. It's a brilliant option for Australian growers, especially in urban areas where space and water conservation matter.

What supplies do I need to start an indoor garden?

At a minimum, you'll need grow lights, pots or containers, a reliable water source, and a quality nutrient solution. If you're going hydroponic, you'll also want a pH testing kit and a growing medium like coco coir (never use regular soil in a hydroponic system, as it interferes with nutrient control and can introduce pests). We carry everything you need from trusted brands like Canna, Bluelab, and AC Infinity to get you growing with confidence.

What brands do you carry?

We've curated a selection of globally recognised brands that we trust and use ourselves. Our range includes Canna, AC Infinity, Bluelab, Blumat, GrassRoots, House & Garden, and more. We also stock premium Japanese gardening tools from makers like Toyama Hamono, Chikamasa, Tobisho, and ARS. These are high-quality, hard-to-find tools that serious gardeners love.

Do you support organic and sustainable growing methods?

Absolutely. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at Green Genius. We carry a wide range of organic and eco-friendly supplies, and we're big advocates for living soil methods alongside hydroponic growing. Our team can help you choose products and techniques that align with your commitment to growing responsibly.

What's the ideal pH for my hydroponic system?

Most hydroponic plants thrive in a pH range of 5.8 to 6.2. Keeping your pH within this window ensures your plants can absorb nutrients efficiently. You can adjust pH using "pH Up" or "pH Down" solutions, which we stock in store and online. A reliable pH meter, like those from Bluelab, makes monitoring quick and accurate.

Do you offer returns or warranties on products?

Yes. All products sold by Green Genius come with consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. This means our products must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for their intended purpose.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or does not meet the consumer guarantees, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, proof of purchase, and photos or details of the issue. Depending on the problem, we will work with you to arrange a repair, replacement, refund, or another suitable solution in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Many products also include a manufacturerโ€™s warranty. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, we can help guide you through the warranty process, but your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply regardless of any manufacturer warranty period.

For change-of-mind returns, please contact us before sending anything back. Items must generally be unused, unopened, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition. Change-of-mind returns may not be available for opened products, used equipment, nutrients, growing media, special orders, clearance items, or living/perishable products, unless required by law.

Return shipping costs may be the customerโ€™s responsibility for change-of-mind returns. Where a product has a confirmed fault or issue covered under Australian Consumer Law, we will handle the matter in accordance with our legal obligations.

To start a return or warranty claim, please contact Green Genius with your order number and a clear description of the issue.
